Installation Information

Designed for straightforward installation, our systems help minimise installation time and additional costs. Both the indoor and outdoor units are factory pre-gassed, pressure tested and sealed, and are supplied with a pre-flared 5-metre pipe kit for easier installation by a qualified engineer.

The indoor unit is mounted using the wall bracket supplied, while the outdoor condenser can be installed either on a suitable ground base or mounted externally using an optional wall bracket. The included 5-metre copper pipe and electrical cable provide everything needed for a standard installation, reducing the need for additional components.

Important Installation Requirements

This air conditioning system must be installed and commissioned by an F-Gas qualified engineer. As the unit contains refrigerant regulated under F-Gas legislation, all handling, installation and commissioning work must be carried out by appropriately certified personnel.

To validate the manufacturer’s warranty, commissioning must be completed by a qualified F-Gas engineer. The extended parts warranty is subject to annual servicing in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements.

Please ensure your installer reads the user manual thoroughly before installation. Additional guidance on F-Gas regulations and installer qualifications can be found via official UK Government guidance.

With EcoSmart Heat Fia heating systems, heat is produced by the embedded heating elements within the radiator.

Our systems work independently, any failure should be in one room only thus reducing any disruption caused and the chance of being left with a cold home.

How Does it work?

Fia heaters use a perfect combination of radiant and convection to provide a comfortable balance of heat across the room.

Each radiator contains a high-silica aluminium clay core brick that not only heats up quickly giving you fast response times but also retains heat.

As the radiator heats up, cold air is drawn from the room and moves through the air flow enhanced flutes, this air is warmed as it passes the heat releasing bricks.

The heat stored in the tablets is also producing radiant heat and is pushed outwards from the front of the heater and will continue to release heat up to an hour after it has stopped drawing electricity. This means the radiators are not permanently on, saving you money.
